GRAND ISLE - Raymond L. Morrow, 84, passed away peacefully and with great courage Jan. 30, 2013, at a local health care facility. He was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Grand Isle, son of the late Belonie "Bill" and Marie (Morneault) Morrow.

Upon returning from serving in the U.S. Army, Raymond worked on the family farm for many years. He also owned and operated Morrow's Garage, Grand Isle, until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post No. 147, Madawaska. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Raymond was very proud of his family and loved spending time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Laura (Pelletier) Morrow of Grand Isle; son, Andre Morrow and fiancée, April Levesque, of Grand Isle; daughter, Rachel LaJoie and husband, Dominic, of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Heather Beaulieu and husband, Brandon, of Madawaska, Zachary Morrow of Grand Isle, Megan, Lindsay, Nicholas and Thomas LaJoie of Van Buren; two stepgrandchildren, Victoria Levesque and fiancé, Lee Grivois, of Madawaska, and J.R. Levesque of Fort Campbell, Ky.; one great-stepgrandson, Rhys Grivois of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Normande Beaupre and Ursla Macdonald; and brother, Carl Morrow.

Family and friends may call 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lajoie Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Gerard Church.
