JONESPORT - Randy Frank Thistlewood, 56, died unexpectedly Jan. 27, 2013, in Jonesport. He was born Nov. 13, 1956, in Jonesport, son of Fabian and Lois (Beal) Thistlewood.

He attended Jonesport High School, and later worked for many years on the water; lobster fishing, dragging, clamming and most recently for, Beals-Jonesport Co-op. He enjoyed going for Sunday drives, listening to music, and times spent with family and friends. He also liked hiking and was known for his hat collection. He had a great love for college basketball especially during "March Madness," cheering on his team the Duke Blue Devils. His dry Down East sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Lois Thistlewood; son, Cody Thistlewood and daughter, Jasmine Bruno, and their mother, Rebecca Beal; brothers, Obed Beal and wife, Susan, Ernest Thistlewood, and Steven Thistlewood and wife, Kelley; sisters, Jeanne Farnsworth and husband, Paul, Linda Durkee and husband, Manny, and Amy Robinson and husband, Arthur; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and friends, to include special friends, David, Dana, Larry, Keith, and Tommy and Lisa. He was predeceased by his father, Fabian; both paternal and maternal grandparents, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 1 p.m. until time of funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Jonesport Wesleyan Church, 143 Main St. Condolences and memories may be shared with the Thistlewood family by visiting their book of memories at
