BANGOR - Randolph "Randy" Grant, 92, died Jan. 3, 2013, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Presque Isle, the son of Randolph and Leah (Munson) Grant.

He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School, class of 1939. Randy was employed with the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for 30 years.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Clara (Bell) Grant; one son, Terrance Lee Grant, both of Bangor; two grandchildren, Ben Keaton and his wife, Brandy, of New Jersey and Kevin Keaton and his wife, Allison, of Caribou; four great-grandchildren, Jarred and Marissa Keaton, both of Caribou, Matthew and Hunter Keaton, both of New Jersey; a son-in-law, Ron Keaton and his wife, Brenda; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Charlie Munn; and three dear friends, Brenda Durant, and Gail and Rodney Belanger. He was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy Grant Keaton.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Carl Schreiber officiating. Gifts in his memory may be sent to CancerCare of Maine, Lafayette Family Cancer Center, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
