ADDISON - Ralph Joel Pineo Sr., 66, died July 7, 2012, at his home, after a short battle with cancer. Ralph was born Aug. 31, 1945, in Columbia Falls, to Joel and Eleanor Grant Pineo. He graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1963. His varied career included work in logging, lumber milling, carpentry, construction, auto mechanics and long-haul trucking. In every field of endeavor Ralph strove for perfection and took pride in his work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and dogs. His good-humored nature and gift for telling a humorous story won him friends throughout his lifetime and will be remembered fondly. He was predeceased by his parents; paternal grandparents, Fred and Lucy Higgins Pineo; and maternal grandparents, Elmer and Zella Bagley Grant. He is survived by his wife, Lori; children, Ralph Jr. of East Machias, Jan and husband, Joe Wolford, and their children of Oregon, Bradley and his children, and Alysha Peabody; his sister, Lana Smith of Columbia Falls; and nephews, Philip Smith and wife, Patti, of Connecticut and Joel Smith of New York. He will be missed by cousins/ friends, Stanley and Suzanne Foss and Julian and Gloria Bagley; and special friends, Danny and Juanita Gray and their family. A celebration of life will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with final expenses.
