BELFAST - Ralph Truman Fudge, 78, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Waldo County General Hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Elmira, N.Y., son of Ralph Ellsworth and Mary Louise (Morse) Fudge. On Nov. 11, 1955, he married Suzanne B. Reynolds in Elmira, N.Y. Truman attended Elmira, N.Y., public schools and graduated from Colgate University in 1955 and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale in 1968. He was ordained as a priest in the Episcopal church in 1969. Truman served Christ Church, Westerly, R.I., from 1968 to 1973, and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, Belfast, from 1974 until he retired Nov. 1, 1995. He was an adjunct member of the faculty at Bangor Theological Seminary from 1987 to 1993. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Fudge of Belfast; their two daughters, Mary Virginia "Ginny" Fudge and partner, John McDonald, of Montville, and Susan Elizabeth Fudge of Portland; six grandchildren, Sara Elise Drinkwater and partner, Kyle White, Daniel K. Woodrow Jr. and his partner, Amanda Peaslee, Carie Elizabeth Woodrow and partner, Tom Correy, Madison Alexander Leddy, Truman Henry Leddy and Jack Ellsworth Leddy; and five great-grandchildren, twins, Adara and Kira Woodrow, Bailey Cole Woodrow, Jazmin Skylar Correy and Oliver Myles Correy. Truman is also survived by two sisters, Sara Elizabeth "Sally" Grayson and husband, David, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Barbara Mae Courtright and husband, James, of Waterloo, N.Y., and their families. A memorial Eucharist will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 100 Court St., Belfast.
