BANGOR - Pauline S. Bennett-Madore, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility. Born in 1920, in Lakeview, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Effie Hamlin, and sister of the late Arlene Villani. Mrs. Madore was raised and attended public schools in Milo. Among the many successes, talents and abilities in her life, she was an accomplished pianist, organist and choir director at numerous churches in central Maine, first and foremost being in Dexter. Years following the death of her first husband, Donald H. Bennett, by whom she had five children, she married Ulysses Madore of Pittsfield, now deceased. She was also predeceased by her son, Daniel Bennett; and daughter, Brenda Bennett. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon and husband, Carroll Dubay, of Sangerville, and Bonnie FitzPatrick of Bangor; son, James Bennett and fiancee, Susan Bornstein, of Wakefield, Mass.; eight grandchildren, James, Shelly, Susan, Donald, Deborah, Gregory, Eric and Carlton; several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. The family thanks Westgate Manor staff for their superb professional and loving care of their mother. A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, at United Baptist Church, Milo, with the Rev. Phil McGlauflin officiating. Interment will be immediately after at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo.
