BANGOR - Nancy (Ferris) Savage died Aug. 16, 2012, surrounded by her family, at her home. She was born Jan. 7, 1943, in Newport, the daughter of Norman Ferris and Gail (Stuart) Ferris Wilson.
Nancy's family and friends will remember her warm and generous spirit and her sense of humor. She loved to entertain at her home in Bangor and her camp on Schoodic Lake. Nancy was very involved in the lives of her five grandsons, and they were one of her greatest joys.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nelson Savage; son, Jeff Savage of Bangor; daughter, Kathy Anderson and her husband, Jon, of Bourne, Mass.; son, Steve Ferris and his wife, Jessica, of Bangor; five grandsons, Kyle and Cody Savage, Eric and Brian Anderson, and Nate Ferris; and brothers, Norman Ferris of Holden and Brent Ferris of Bangor.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor.
