WINTERPORT and FRANKFORT - Mildred P. Little, 92, passed away peacefully Jan. 22, 2013, at a Saco health care facility. Mildred was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Frankfort, daughter of the late Alton H. and Ethel S. (Littlefield) Patterson.

Mildred grew up in Frankfort, but lived most of her life in Winterport. She was active in Winterport Methodist Church, where she was known for putting on suppers. In her spare time she enjoyed playing golf, knitting and reading. After Thurlow's passing, Mildred spent her summers in Maine at Swan Lake and her winters in Florida. Mildred will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mildred is survived by her children, A. Leroy Little and wife, Elaine, of Hampton, Va., Michael B. Little and wife, Josie, of Saco, and Patricia Malkevich and husband, Larry, of Florida; grandchildren, Randy Malkevich, David Malkevich, Terry Valdez, Ashley Little Donahue and Megan Little; and great-grandchildren, Tiana and Keegan Valdez. Mildred was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thurlow Little; and many brothers and sisters.

A memorial service celebrating Mildred's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Family and friends are invited to visit 1 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Pilgrim's Home Cemetery, Monroe.
