PRESQUE ISLE - Merindy "Angel" May Corriveau, 36, passed away unexpectedly April 14, 2013, at a Bangor hospital, with family by her side. She was born Nov. 10, 1976, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Nancy and Roderick Perkins.

She graduated from Presque Isle High School. In 2003 she married Jerry Corriveau Jr. and they had one son, Noah. She was employed at National Semiconductor, Portland, until 2007. Merindy, known as Angel to her loved ones, was a strong and loving mother and wife. She used to say that the greatest accomplishment in her life was giving birth to and raising Noah. She loved him with all her heart. They did everything together and it was very important to her to share in his development and activities. Family and friends meant the world to her; she cherished them all. Her passions were gardening, she loved flowers and plants, and animals of all kinds. Her favorite places included Cape Elizabeth, Kennebunk and Sebago Lake. She loved to travel, making trips to the mountains of New England, the Carribean and Alaska.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jerry; her son, Noah; stepbrothers, Adam Perkins and wife, Erin, of Westfield and Jerry Perkins and wife, Wonda, of Hudson; beloved aunt and uncle, Velma and Lawrence Kinsley of Belfast; and very special cousins, Lisa Desjardins and husband, William Jr., of Westfield and Eric Hull of Florida, among others.

Per her request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations in her name may be made to Cancer Center of Maine, Lafayette Family Cancer Center, 33 Whiting Hill Road, Suites 1-21, Brewer, ME 04412.
