LOWELL - Marie Elizabeth Champion, 71, wife of Gordon Champion Sr., passed away May 17, 2013, at her home. She was born March 5, 1942, in Lowell, the daughter of Clyde and Adeline (Drinkwater) Perkins.
Marie attended Lee Academy and worked at Colonial Healthcare, Lincoln, until her retirement. She dearly loved her family and loved to work in her garden.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Robert Champion and Terry, Lilly Champion and Barry, Gordon Champion Jr. and Diane, and Ann Hartley and Patrick; three brothers, Durbon, Roger and Bobby Davis; sister, Jean Champion; half sister, Cecile Payette; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Maryann; and brother, Billy.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Lowell Cemetery, with the Rev. Keith Shorey officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
