NEWPORT - Margaret Nell McNally, 86, departed earth for heaven Feb. 1, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born Oct. 27, 1926, in Sherman, the daughter of Dennis Sr. and Sylvia Cushman Gallagher.

In 1942 she married Francis W. McNally and they resided in Sherman, then later in Newport, where they managed the Texaco Station with their son, Michael, for several years. She loved playing games, gardening, tending to her kitchen and spending time with her family. She was also a communicant of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years; and her sister, Gloria Yeo. She is survived by three sons, Francis Darrell and wife, Donna, of Newport, Michael David and wife, Linda, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Mark Dennis and wife, Diane, of Limington; seven grandchildren, Robyn Neudeck and Faith Paton of Florida, Jeffrey McNally of Gorham, Karyn McNally of Raymond, Danylle Carson of Leeds, Ryan McNally of New York City and Daniel McNally of Newport; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Dennis Gallagher Jr. "Floppy" and wife, Annabelle, of Sherman, Dale Gallagher and wife, Peggy, of Prince Edward Island, and Murray Gallagher and wife, Cheryl, of Southington, Conn.; and her best friend, Ginny Lundberg and husband, David, of Plymouth. The family would also like to thank Beacon Hospice - Kim, Vanessa, Laura, Michelle and others - for helping Mom attain her wish of remaining at home and providing her with loving care.
