HOULTON - Louise Lenentine, 78, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at a Gardiner health care facility. She was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Southampton, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Ralph and Mildred (Davidson) Stairs.

She worked for many years for the Department of Human Services holding many different positions throughout the years. Louise was a member of Military Street Baptist Church, a past noble grand of Portia Rebekah Lodge where she was a 50-year member, and a 50-year member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Lenentine and wife, Michelle, and Peter Lenentine and wife, Katharine Suettinger; four grandchildren, Kaileigh Lenentine, Taylor Lenentine, Tess Lenentine and Sadie Lenentine; brother, Fred Stairs and wife, Alice; two sisters, Irma Stairs and Alice MacFarlane; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Merritt Lenentine; brother, Bertram Stairs; and sister, Marie Williams.

Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Military Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Interment will be held at Jewell Cemetery, Monticello. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Louise's memory to the Ronald McDonald House or a , care of Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton, ME 04730.
