HOLDEN - Lewis W. Morse passed away peacefully April 18, 2013, at home with his hand lovingly held by his wife. He bravely fought a four-year battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Bangor, son of Lewis and Florence (Doughty) Morse.

He proudly served in the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, Oahu, Hawaii. Lou was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He took up golf later in his life and enjoyed it until his illness made him unable to play.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, David. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary; daughter, Nichole Orchard and husband, Michael, of Kennebunk; daughter, Ashleigh Morse and partner, Scott Littlefield, of South Berwick; and two grandchildren who were the love of his life, Craig Orchard and Alexandra Littlefield. He also leaves behind his brother Robert Morse and wife, Janet, of Bangor; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends, especially his lifelong best friend, Ron Kidder and wife, Judy.
Per his request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
