WALLAGRASS and EAGLE LAKE - Leonette "Tinette" Voisine, 88, died unexpectedly April 5, 2012, in Wallagrass. She was born June 14, 1923, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Frank and Marceline (Devoe) Gagnon. Leonette was an active member of the Columbiettes and Ladies of St. Anne, Wallagrass. She also belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Kent; and American Legion, Eagle Lake. Tinette worked for W.T. Grant until it closed, then she worked for Aroostook Area Agency on Aging until retiring at age 79. She was an active volunteer in her community donating much of her time for the church and with the Ladies of St. Anne for funeral luncheons. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, playing bingo, canning, gardening and especially spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by five daughters, Peggy Ann Wawrzonek of Bondsville, Mass., Betty Saucier of Saco, Phyllis Boucher of Biddeford, Carol Thibodeau of Wallagrass and Judith Winchester of Wallagrass; two sons, Ricky Voisine of Plaisted and John Voisine of St. Francis; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several daughters-in-law and sons-in-law; two brothers, Paul and Albert Gagnon; one sister, Cecile Morest; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar G. Voisine, in 2002; one daughter, Joyce Parent; one grandson, Justin Parent; and numerous brothers. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 9, and 8-9 a.m. Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. April 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. James Albert officiating. Spring burial will be held May 14 at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass. Those who wish may make donations in Tinette's memory to Greater Fort Kent Ecumenical Food Pantry, 229 West Main St., Suite 103, Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
