BRADFORD and GIEKAU, Germany - Kaethe (Horn) Roeschmann, 90, passed away Dec. 22, 2011, to be with God in peace and contentment. She was born Aug. 5, 1921, in the picturesque village of Giekau, Germany, the daughter of Wilhelm and Anna Horn. She was the wife of the late Benno Roeschmann, who passed on in 2004. Kaethe was a registered nurse, specializing in neo-natal care. Upon moving to Bradford she worked for many years at Howard Johnson Restaurant, Bangor, as hostess and assistant manager. She is survived by her son, Wil Roeschmann of Easton, Pa.; her daughter, Iris-Elena Dutile of Mapleton; her sister, Frieda Schneider of Giekau, Germany; as well as her grandchildren, Mr. Adam Dutile of Saco and Mr. Nathan Dutile of Buxton. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Bradford Baptist Church. Interment will be afterward at Hillside Cemetery, Bradford.
