BANGOR - Joseph J. Dauphinee, 55, went to be with his Lord May 1, 2012, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was born May 9, 1956, in Bangor, son of Thomas and Bertha (Leeman) Dauphinee. Joe was employed by Penobscot County Sheriff Department for 30 years. He was a member of Hermon Baptist Church and enjoyed music. Joe especially loved and enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy (Eberly) Dauphinee of Bangor; daughter and husband, Michelle and Wayne Southard of Aiken, S.C.; son, Kirk Dauphinee of Brewer; six brothers and sisters, Timothy Dauphinee, Jeffrey and Vicky Dauphinee, Suzanne Torrey, all of Bangor, Mark and Melody Dauphinee of Corinth, Patrick Dauphinee and Rhonda Hendsbee of Kenduskeag and Linda Dauphinee of Corinth; three grandchildren, Lacey, Kellen and Kyle; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Hermon Baptist Church with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday. Interment will be afterward at Kenduskeag Village Cemetery, Kenduskeag. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the church immediately after the interment.
