MILO - John K. Cross, 73, died Jan. 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Lowell, Mass., the son of Ernest Eugene Cross Sr. and Cynthia Kendall Roberts.

John had worked as a cook, in area woolen mills, and was most recently an over-the-road truck driver. In 1990 he was a volunteer driver for KVCAP and then later volunteered as a Lynx driver.
John is survived by three daughters, Reba Bussey and her husband, Steve, of Dexter, Virginia Longdin of Methuen, Mass., and Melissa Cross of Sorrento, Fla.; a son, John C. Cross of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Leona Lovely of Pittsfield and Deborah Cross of Orneville; and a brother, David Cross Sr. and his wife, Gloria, of Guilford. He will be remembered by his best friends, Levi Bussey of Milo, Bill Thompson and Sandy McNulty of Dexter; and a special niece, Juanita Bates. John was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Ernest Eugene "Gene" Cross Jr.
