FREEPORT - Joan P. Theberge, 71, passed away peacefully March 25, 2013, at the Hawthorne House. She was born April 10, 1941, in Lincoln, daughter of Joseph and Carolyn (Corro) Ciarrochi.

Joan was a 1959 graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, Lincoln. She was a flight attendant for many years with United Airlines. Later, Joan returned to Lincoln for several years to help with the family owned Rosebowl Restaurant. She lived her last 20 years in the Portland area while working for Maine Medical Center. Joan loved crafts and was a talented painter. She also enjoyed being by the water and kayaking. Her biggest love was her children and grandchildren. She was an especially loving and giving mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are two brothers, Thomas Ciarrochi of Mattawamkeag and Joseph Ciarrochi and his wife, Dianne, of Lincoln; two sons, Paul and his wife, Tammy, of Buxton, and their three children, Corey, Cameron and Allexius, and Jody and his wife, Sherry, of Hermon, and their three children, Tyler, Nick and Karli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Wilde Memorial Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave., Portland.
