Burnette and Jack moved back to "the County" in1984 finalizing a dream by building their home by the lake in New Limerick. Jack was a finished carpenter who always had to be building or fixing "something." He served in the Army Service Forces-Signal Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Rockland Lions Club for 30 years; a lifetime member of Monument Lodge AF & AM, Houlton; and an avid armature radio operator. Jack and Burnette enjoyed many years traveling to visit family and friends and camping with the Ham Radio Club and with their camping group.
