CORINNA - James Elwin Paige Sr., 90, died Dec. 6, 2012, at a Bangor nursing home. He was born Aug. 17, 1922, in Upton, Mass., a son of Leon and Fannie (Larter) Paige.

He worked as a welder at Graymont Construction Co., Needham, Mass., before moving to Corinna in 1978, where he and his wife, Judy, purchased a farm on Chamberlain Meeting House Road. He had attended Morse's Corner Baptist Church, Corinna, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Newport.
He is survived by five sons, the Rev. James Elwin Paige Jr. and Peggy, of Michigan, Daniel Paige and Patty Qua of Exeter, Russell and Susanne Paige of Corinna, Thomas and Colleen Paige of Hartland, and Bradford Paige of Newport; daughter, Terry and John Schef of Michigan; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Claire; second wife, Judy; two grandchildren, Dylan and Ashley; and a brother, Leon.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday. A graveside committal service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Lakeview Cemetery, Upton, Mass. Those who wish may leave written condolences at
