CORINNA - Irvin J. Devoe, 72, died peacefully Dec. 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born June 19, 1940, in Presque Isle, a son of Clarence and Velma (Tompkins) Devoe.

He had been employed at Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna, and Seaman's Rugs, Dexter. Irvin was a member of Detroit Apostolic Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of Corinna; two daughters, Irene and husband, the Rev. Glenn Wittmeier, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Donna and husband, Dana Peirce, of Glenburn; two brothers, Clarence Devoe and Donald Devoe, both of Presque Isle; a sister, Hazel Case of Perham; four grandchildren, Tonia, Joshua, Dana Jr. "D.J." and Alexander; one great-granddaughter, Ella; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Burton Devoe; and three sisters, Helen Downs, Geneva Devoe and Inez McIntyre.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Detroit Apostolic Fellowship, 19 Main St., Detroit, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Rosendo Longoria officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, Corinna. Spring burial will be at Morse's Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
