HOULTON - Helen M. McPherson, 85, died Dec. 26, 2012, at a local health care facility. She was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Houlton, daughter of John and Frances (Pringle) Nason.

Helen was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. She enjoyed bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and working for SOAR.
Helen is survived by her six daughters, Rose Mary Watson and husband, Lane, of Ludlow, Iris Derosier of Fort Fairfield, Fran Richards of Houlton, Kathy Fogg and husband, Bob, of New Hampshire, Linda Malone and husband, Ivan, of Houlton, and Teresa Allison and husband, Jeff, of Kansas; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth McPherson Hopper; sister, Mary Voyer of Connecticut; sister-in-law, Mary Priscilla Nason; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Ted; son, John McPherson; two sons-in-law, Mike Richards and Raymond Derosier; and brother, Robert Nason.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with the Rev. David Raymond celebrant.
