CALAIS - Gerald Warren Merrill, 72, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Calais Regional Hospital. Surviving are his son, three daughters, seven grandchildren, two brothers and a sister. A celebration of Gerald's life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Baring Baptist Church, Front Street, Baring. Donations in Gerald's memory may be made to Down East Hospice, 24 Hospital Lane, Calais, ME 04619. Since Gerald loved blueberries, in lieu of flowers, the family asks you to pick a quart of blueberries to share with your loved ones. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport.
