LAGRANGE - George M. Peirce, 72, passed away May 2, 2012. He was born April 17, 1940, in Hudson, to George and Barbara Peirce. He was a woods operator for most of his adult life. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Drusilla; and four children, Stephanie Leighton of Norway, Maine, William Donlon of Carmel, Shawn and Mary Donlon of Charleston, Robert Donlon of LaGrange. Robert's words to his father are "A promise was made and a promise was kept." He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There will be no services as per his wishes. Friends may visit at his home on any afternoon.
