GLENBURN - Frank E. Andrews, 88, husband of Charlotte E. (Arnold) Andrews, died peacefully Dec. 18, 2012, and is now with the Lord. He was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Bar Harbor, the son of Frank P. and Henrietta (Blaisdell) Andrews.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy, Seabees Division, during World War II. He was a master electrician for the City of Bangor School Department, and he owned and operated Andrews Electric. Frank, together with his wife, owned and operated Double AA Landing, Glenburn. He was a member of Norman N. Dow Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1761, Bangor; Eagles Club, Brewer; and was commodore of the Royal Pushaw Yacht Club. Frank was an avid bowler at Bangor-Brewer Bowling Lanes, and he held multiple state championships. He loved to mow lawns, hunt, and fly Cessna and Piper Cub seaplanes. Frank was always ready to help anyone in need. He was a gentle, honest and well-respected man, and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 65 years, are six children, Linda Wallner and her husband, Wally, of Phenix City, Ala., RaeJean Womack and her husband, Tom "Jack," of Sumter, S.C., Brenda Andrews of Bangor, Frank R. Andrews of Glenburn, Kelley Maris and her husband, George, of Panama City, Fla., and John Andrews and his wife, April, of Glenburn; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Peggy Long and her significant other, Harold; several nieces and nephews.
At Frank's request, a celebration of his life will be planned for early summer at Double AA Landing, Glenburn.
