FARMINGDALE - Ethel Lucille Lambert, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Heritage Manor, Winthrop. She was born May 5, 1923, in Ellicott City, Md., the only daughter of four children of Charles and Maizie (Grover) Delosier.

She was educated at Ellicott City (Md.) High School in 1941. She married Don Lambert, in 1946, in Maryland; they relocated to Maine and settled in Houlton. She worked at Foggs Hardware, Houlton, prior to starting her family. She was an avid reader, loved mystery novels, going to camp at Cross Lake, traveling to Monhegan with Robin, going for rides.
She and Don were married for 61 years. He passed Feb. 3, 2008. They had five children, Robin Lambert, the oldest predeceased her in 2006, Allen Lambert of Caribou, Jon Lambert of Farmingdale, Tim Lambert of Cross Lake, and Dawn Real and husband, Ernest, of Farmingdale; five grandchildren, Anne Lambert, Shawna Beaulieu, who died 2009, Jodi Meader and husband, Lawrence, Kirk Lambert, and Tucker Real; five great-grandchildren, Walker and Wyatt Beaulieu, Lillian and Rebecca Meader, and Jack Lambert; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends and neighbors. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Louis, Robert and Charles Delosier.
Visiting hours will be held 11 a.m.-12-30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a celebration of her life will begin 12:30 p.m. Burial will be beside her husband at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, immediately after the celebration of her life.
