Gloria grew up in Monson and graduated valedictorian of her class at Monson Academy. Gloria's hard work at several jobs led to her position as manager of the A & P, Dover-Foxcroft, where she retired at age 60. She was also a Stanley Home Products Affiliate for more than 30 years. Gloria's joys in life were her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and her family and friends. She was grateful to all who cared for her when she needed it most. Gloria was actively involved in the leadership of Guilford United Methodist Church and Mayo Hospital Auxiliary. She volunteered for 12 years at Mayo Regional Hospital, plus served at Meals for ME, as well as being a member and past president of Guilford United Methodist Women and Abaris Club. She served on boards of Eastern Area Agency on Aging and was actively involved with RSVP. Throughout the years Gloria initiated "Soup Night" and the fund for Camp Mechuwana among many other local service projects.
