MADAWASKA - The sun has risen for the first time in 84 years without shining its rays on one of God's most beautiful creations. There is an empty silence. On May 4, 2012, our beloved mother, Estelle H. Albert, passed into God's arms, finally giving her back all of her precious memories held captive by Alzheimer's disease. She was born June 8, 1927, in Van Buren, daughter of the late Alfred and Demerise (Dumont) LeBlanc. Estelle was a lifetime member of the Madawaska Daughters of Isabella and a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Madawaska, for 50-plus years. She is survived by seven children, Elaine Dionne and her husband, Conrad, of Madawaska, Richard Albert and his wife, Ginette, of St. David, Phillip Albert and his wife, Anne, of Maineville, Ohio, Patrick Albert and his wife, Diane, of Frenchville, Linda Pelletier and her husband, Robert, of Madawaska, Carol Hines and her husband, Wilfred, of Moscow, Maine, and Brenda Baker and her husband, Peter, of Daigle; her special godson that she raised, Roger Albert and his wife, Yveline, of Marlboro, Conn.; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mae Rita Nadeau and her husband, Elmo, of Hampden; a brother, Raymond "Norman" LeBlanc and his wife, Mary Lou, of Spokane, Wash.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Normand C. Albert, in 1992; her grandson, Zachary Hines, in 1984; and by several brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call 8 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Lajoie Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Estelle's memory may be made to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O. Box 688, Caribou, ME 04736. For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com.
