MADAWASKA - Emely Chasse, 85, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was born Nov. 1, 1927, in St. Basile, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Alphee and Susanne (Michaud) LeBlanc.

Emely was the loving mother of four children, Donald Chasse and wife, Denise, of Madawaska, Carol Beaulieu and husband, Andre, of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Danny Chasse and wife, Marie May, of Madawaska, and Charlene Parker and husband, Steve, of Sanford. She had four grandchildren, Jeremie, Emelie, Kayla and Kory; and two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Nicolas. Being one of 16 children, she has 12 siblings surviving her. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonel M. Chasse, July 9, 1973; and infant son, Ronald Chasse.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at Lajoie Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
