WILLIMANTIC and MARIETTA, Ga. - Ellen (Van Amber) Woodall, 83, beloved wife and mother, was called to her home in heaven June 8, 2012, to be with her Savior, whom she loved and served. Ellen was born May 5, 1929, in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of Wesley and Dorothy Van Amber. She lived in the Syracuse, N.Y., area until 1964, when she married Richard B. Woodall, who predeceased her, and moved to Ogunquit. In 1976 Ellen and Dick moved to Willimantic, and for the last several years they were together they spent summers in Maine and winters in Silver Springs, Fla. Ellen and Dick were married for 46 years until he passed away Aug. 6, 2010. Ellen was on the board of directors at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft, for 13 years and was a volunteer for more than 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and worked at many of the Shriners' events. Ellen loved singing, sewing, cooking, entertaining, leather tooling and gardening. She was active in Willimantic Community Chapel, Willimantic, and Fellowship of God Church, Ocala, Fla. She is survived by a son, Lawrence Lewis and his wife, Kathy, of Florida; a daughter, Mary Tomlin and her husband, Dale, of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Lisa Fellers and her husband, Gary, of South Carolina; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Bertha J. Van Amber and Marion Seymour of New York and Sally Bliss and her husband, Orbra, of Indiana. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Maine at Willimantic Community Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to House of One, Fellowship of God Church, P.O.
