FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Eleanor Ruth England Billings, 90, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Billings retired from the civil service in 1976 after working for the U.S. Geological Survey and Defense Nuclear Agency. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, dancing, walking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Percy G. Billings Jr.; children, Glenn Billings, Barbara Caines and Diane Billings; brother, Richard A. England; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Lena England; 14 siblings and a grandson. A gathering will be held 4-6 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, Va.
