LOCUST GROVE, VA. - Dorothy Fern Somers, beloved wife of the late Leslie Robert Somers, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. She was born in 1920, in Lincoln, daughter of William and Lou Ogden.

She is survived by daughters, Deanna Somers of Kernersville, N.C., and Cheryl King and husband, Robert, of Moultonborough, N.H.; grandchildren, Heidi Frears and husband, Roger, of Mayville, N.C., Kristen Tavernier of Kernersville, N.C., Steven King and wife, Rebecca, of Boyds, Md., and Jonathan King and Katherine King of Germantown, Md.; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by sister, Maizie Silvester.
She married Leslie Somers of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and resided in Lebanon, N.H., from 1944 to 1989. Dorothy worked at Mary Hichcock Hospital, Lebanon, N.H.; Dartmouth College, Han-over, N.H., in the physics department and Reserve Officer Training Corps program; and Veteran Affairs Medical Center, White River Junction, Vt. She loved her family, golf, skiing, camping and dancing at Barden's Barn, Lebanon, N.H. Leslie and Dorothy were active members of the Congregational church, Masons and Eastern Star.
