CALAIS - Doris M. (Christie) Trafton passed away April 29, 2012, after a long illness. Doris was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Milltown, New Brunswick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Christie. Doris was the wife of the late, Jesse Trafton. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Gary and Ellen of Bangor, Wayne and Dana of Calais, and William and Judy of Brewer; daughter, Joan of North Providence, R.I.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Laking of McAdam, New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Vanceboro Cemetery, Vanceboro. A reception will be held for family and friends 3 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Calais Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris' memory may be made to Calais Methodist Church, Main Street, Calais, ME 04619.
