FORT KENT - Doris E. (Thibeault) Nadeau, 77, having done her cursillo and is now living her 4th day, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Jan. 28, 2013 at a Fort Kent health care facility. Doris was born May 2, 1935, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Patrick and Edwina (Cyr) Thibeault.
She was a member of the Fort Kent Columbiettes. She volunteered her time at the Food Pantry and Good Shepard, in Fort Kent and was a Eucharistic minister. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and especially spending time at the camp with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by five children, Michael Nadeau of Kelseyville, Calif., Thomas and his wife, Janice Nadeau, of Bradley, Paula J. Nadeau of Fort Kent, Pam and her husband, Joe Delong, of Auburn and Gary Nadeau of Biddeford; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edward, Gerald, Ronald, all Fort Kent, Herman and Clarence, both of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Muriel Cote of Fort Kent and Vivian Kahuda of Woodstock, Conn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John K. Nadeau in 1994; one son, Bryan Nadeau; and one brother, Edgar Thibeault.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held May 16, in the parish cemetery.
