GRAND ISLE and AUGUSTA - Donna Dionne Hubbard, 54, passed away after fighting a long, courageous battle with cancer, May 25, 2012, at an Augusta health care facility. She was born July 25, 1957, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, daughter of Lionel "Pit" and Lucille (Cyr) Dionne. She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1975. After high school, she graduated from University of Maine at Augusta in 1978 with a degree in the bilingual bicultural program in human services, as well as an associate degree in general science. She was employed as a secretary at Suburban Gas and at Econo Lodge as a receptionist for several years. Donna is survived by her loving parents, Lionel and Lucille Dionne of Grand Isle; three sisters, Louise Dionne of Otter Creek, Denise Emple and husband, Robert, of Falmouth, and Michelle Ouellette and husband, Chad, of Saco; two brothers, Ronald Dionne and wife, Jennifer, of Grand Isle, and James Dionne of Grand Isle; nieces and nephews, Emma and Alec Dionne, Andrew, Sophie and Charlie Emple, Curtis Dionne, and Brycen Ouellette. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle. Family and friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at Lajoie Funeral Home. Interment will be immediately after the service at the parish cemetery. Contributions in Donna's memory may be made to Mizpah, P.O.
