MAPLETON - Donald A. Michaud, 83, died peacefully June 8, 2012, in the presence of family. He was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Frenchville, son of the late Wilfrid and Delina (Caron) Michaud. He married Patricia A. King July 1, 1952. Donald was a self-employed contractor and the co-owner of Star City IGA for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years; and their four children, Mary Wilcox and her husband, David, of Connecticut, Lottie Michaud of Mapleton, Stephen Michaud of Connecticut and Rick Michaud and his wife, Cindy, of Linneus. He was very proud of his four grandchildren, Matthew Bouchard, Michael Michaud, Amy Langley and Jessica Michaud; and his five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Gerard Michaud and Bobby Michaud; three sisters, Juliette Patel, Bernadette Peters and Vyette Dubois; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Wesleyan Church, Presque Isle. A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville. Direct Cremation of Maine. www.directcremationofmaine.com
