OOLTEWAH, Tenn. - Dolores A. Madore, 84, was born July 18, 1928, in Lincoln, to Alice and George Currier. She passed away May 7, 2013, in Cleveland, Tenn., while a patient at Signature Health Care Rehabilitation facility.

After high school, Dolores - "Dee" to some and "Dodo" to others, met and was courted by Leo Madore from the nearby town of Millinocket, and they were married in 1946. They enjoyed 66 years together, living in Lincoln; Fort Myers, Fla.; and Ooltewah, Tenn. Dee was an active member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lincoln. She and Leo migrated to Florida in 1978. Dee worked for the Lincoln school system, and for Gray Drug and Walgreens, both in Florida. After moving to Fort Myers, Fla., she became active in the women's golf league of the community of Seven Lakes. In 2006, Dee and Leo moved to Ooltewah, Tenn.

Dee is survived by a son, Leo A. Madore II and wife, Jan, of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughter, Beth Madore Whitten and husband, Charlie, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; and son, Tim and wife, Pam, of Amarillo, Texas. In addition to her three children, she is survived by eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo; parents, Alice and George Currier; four brothers; and four sisters.

Interment will be at National Veterans Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tenn., after a memorial service on the grounds. Please send condolences to Beth Whitten, 4056 Platinum Way, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
