BANGOR - David R. Weatherbee, 39, passed away Nov. 11, 2012, literally surrounded by so many people who loved him at his home. David was born April 14, 1973, in Bangor.

He will be missed by so many, including his father and best friend, Peter; David's two sisters, Jenny and son, Jeremiah, and Anne and husband, Mark; as well as David's grandmother, Barbara. David will also be missed by his aunts and uncles, Jane, Ken and Bebe; and his cousins, Susannah, Laura, Kimberly, Kenny, Kasey. David was predeceased by his mother, Sharlene, who loved him very much. David will be greatly missed by his extended Branches and Penobscot Valley Industries families; and his extra special friends, Darlene, Julie, Grace and Melissa.

David was a 2003 graduate of Hampden Academy and moved on to work at PVI. At PVI, he took delight in so many activities, including cooking, art, lighthouse tours, and, especially, teasing and laughing with his friends and staff. When David was ready to leave home and "move into an apartment" he transitioned to the Bangor agency, Branches. The administrators and staff, both present and past, are truly amazing people. Our family simply cannot thank them enough for the love and support given to David throughout the past years, and especially the past month. To David, the simplest things in life were most significant. Celebrating holidays, listening to music, watching movies and planning meals. He was never averse to a good old-fashioned snowball or water balloon fight and if it was your birthday, you'd best be on the look out for a "pie in the face." David will be missed beyond description.

A celebration of his life will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Schooner's Restaurant, 5 S. Main St., Brewer. All family and friends are invited. Those who wish to make a donation in his memory may do so by mailing a check to Branches, LLC, 44 Center St., Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
