HERMON - David R. Priest, 19, died Dec. 13, 2012, at a Boston hospital after a long illness. He was born in Bangor, the son of Jon and Alta (Bishop) Priest.

David was a 2012 graduate of Hermon High School and had worked most recently for Glidden Auto Body, Bangor. He was an avid outdoorsman, who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a "hot rod" enthusiast.

Surviving are his parents of Hermon; one sister, Alexandra Phillips and her husband, Joshua, of Hermon; his grandmother, Linda N. Bishop of Hermon; uncles, Mark Bishop and his wife, Debbie, of Hermon and Les Priest and his wife, Betsy, of Readfield; an aunt, Trudy O' Farrell and her husband, Kip, of Turner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. David will be remembered by many dear friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jon Bishop, Frances Stevens and Guy Priest.

Family and friends may visit 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Abundant Life Church, 1404 Broadway, Bangor, where those attending are encouraged to dress casually or in flannel in David's honor. Private burial will be at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Heroes, Hope & Healing, Children's Cancer & Treatment Center, care of EMHS Foundation, P.O.
