DANFORTH - Dana R. Gray, 81, died May 15, 2012, at a Houlton health care facility after a long illness. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Eaton, the son of William B. and Lorna (Neal) Gray. Dana was a graduate of Danforth High School. He served three years in the U.S. Air Force immediately after graduation. Upon discharge from the U.S. Air Force, Dana made his home in Springfield, Mass., where he owned and operated a service station for 30 years. He then returned home to Danforth where he owned and operated C.F. Moore Oil Co. until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Blaise) Gray of Danforth; three children, Kevin Gray of Stewart, Fla., Bruce Gray of Margate, Fla., and Jana Gray of Vero Beach, Fla.; the mother of his children, Winifred Hungerford; six siblings, Doris Rouch and her husband, Pete, of Orient, Keith Gray and his wife, Cynthia, of South Windsor, Conn., Ardis Fish and her husband, Fred, of Danforth, Colin Gray and his wife, Barbara, of Weston, Darlene Allen and her husband, Tyson, of Danforth and Waldo Gray and his wife, Terri, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; brother-in-law, Harry Kinney of Danforth; an aunt, Madeline Jarvis; an uncle, Alton Amero; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Carrol Gray; and a sister, Kathleen Kinney. Per Dana's request, there will only be a graveside service 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Eaton Cemetery with the Rev. Peter Grenier officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Veterans Administration. Arrangements are with Clay Funeral Home, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth.
