HAMPDEN - Dan Cole Moody, 60, died May 12, 2012, at his home. He was born March 2, 1952, in Farmington, was raised in Beans Corner and Corinna. Dan was a graduate of Nokomis High School and the University of Maine. He worked as a salesman of small parts for Robert, Crozier & Ballou of Orange, Conn., travelling throughout New England and for Maine Oxy-Acetylene Supply successfully expanding their business. Dan was a part owner of Professional Computer Group in Bangor before returning to the University of Maine earning a Master in Business Administration. He then opened Dan Moody Consultant, Inc. providing business and computer network services. Dan was a man of great kindness and compassion, was always concerned about others, was philosophical and deeply spiritual by nature. He was a role model for generosity and for doing what was right. In business, he coined the phrase, "Good advice at a fair price." He was predeceased by his brother, Dale; and parents, Orrison and Elaine (Cole) Moody. He leaves his wife and loving companion of 22 years, Joy Moody; nephew, Jonathan Moody and wife, Shelly; great-nephew, Jacob; great-niece, Grace; niece, Miranda Moody and fiance, Adam Miller. There will be an informal gathering and celebration of life with potluck, pictures and sharing remembrances noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at his family home, 42 Kennebec Road, Hampden.
