CAMDEN - D. Louise (Dickens) Lambert, 96, died Friday, April 27, 2012. Born April 13, 1916, in Newport, she was the daughter of Willard Lee and Winifred (Rollins) Dickens. She served in the European Theatre of the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1949, Louise married Deane Allen Lambert. They lived in Houlton for many years where she worked as a public health nurse for the State of Maine and at a health clinic in Danforth. In 1992, Louise moved to Camden. Surviving are several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Lucy Anderson and husband, Bob; and brother, Thomas Dickens and wife, Ann. A memorial service will be held noon Saturday, May 12, at First Congregational Church, 55 Elm St., Camden. Memorial donations may be made to Camden Rockport Historical Society, P.O. Box 747, Rockport, ME 04856. Arrangements are with Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 9 Mountain St., Camden.
