HERMON - Curtis L. Jewett, 56, died unexpectedly April 24, 2013, at his home. He was born July 18, 1956, in Bangor, son of Francis L. Jewett and Marlene (Redman) Stearns.

Curtis attended Central High School, Corinth, and graduated from Bangor High School. Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family and will be remembered as a loving husband and father. A favorite pastime of his was taking motorcycle rides with his wife, Nancy. At the time of his death Curtis was employed by the University of Maine, Orono.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy A. (Pearson) Jewett of Hermon; four children, Jimmy Jewett, Kaylee Jewett, Morgan Jewett and Kendra Jewett; granddaughter, Nanette; grandson, Tyler; his parents, Francis and Marlene; six sisters, Susan Killoran, Frances Mallory, Karen Shaw, Donna Rush, Wendy Jewett and Florence Jewett; four brothers, Dennis Mcleod, Chad Jewett, Gerald Jewett and Brad Jewett; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call 11 a.m.-noon Monday, April 29, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 225 French St., Bangor, with the Rev. Canon Mary Ann Taylor pastoral assistant officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. Condolences to the family may be expressed
