EAST MILLINOCKET - Colleen Pasanen, 87, died Jan. 24, 2013, in Howland. She was born March 20, 1925, in East Millinocket, the daughter of George and Louise (Sullivan) Adams.

She attended Beals College, then moved to Washington, D.C., where she lived and worked during World War II. She was a member of East Millinocket Congregational Church. She enjoyed playing in the Tuesday afternoon bridge club, trips to Prince Edward Island, playing piano and going to camp.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edwin Pasanen of East Millinocket; two children, Andrea Rush of Millinocket and Peter Pasanen and Kim of East Millinocket; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Taimi and Nicholas; two great-grandchildren, Shane and Corbin; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters; and a grandson, Peter John Rush.

Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at East Millinocket Congregational Church, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m with the Rev. Dottie Hutch officiating.
