SMYRNA - Clifford H. Slauenwhite Jr., 69, died Dec. 2, 2012 in Smyrna. He was born Jan. 27, 1943, in Meridan Conn., the son of Clifford H. and Mildred (Clark) Slauenwhite Sr.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Vietnam. He was retired from Coventry Rhode Island Police Dept. and Aroostook County Sheriff's Dept.

He is survived by a brother, Rodney Slauenwhite of Oakfield; sister, Gayle Sirois of Millinocket; goddaughter, Christie Cihat of Coventry, R.I.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; very good friends, Larry Dickinson, Bruce Fowler and many others too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Vicky; a son, Eric; and a brother, Eugene.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held noon Friday, Dec. 7 at Oakfield Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Creelman officiating. For an online memory book and to leave condolences please visit
