ORRINGTON - Claire Elizabeth (Kimball) Seeley, 68, died peacefully June 18, 2012, among family and friends. She was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of the late Dr. Charles and Ruth (Greene) Kimball. Claire was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1961. She was a longtime member of East Orrington Congregational Church, where she worked as librarian/receptionist from 2000 to 2006. Claire served on the board of education and was the editor of the Pen of Power for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Lindsey E. Seeley of Orrington; her four children, Brent Seeley and his partner, Jeff Halsey, of Portland, Ore., Scott Seeley of Cheyenne, Wyo., Bryan Seeley and his wife, Michelle, of Gorham and Dana Seeley and his wife, Barbara, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Lauren, Shantel, Joshua, Megan and Autumn; two brothers, Charles Kimball and his wife, Patty, and Curtis Kimball and his wife, Denise, all of Hermon; one sister, Cathi Crabtree and her husband, Russell, of Guilford; several nieces and nephews; and two close friends, Linda Colford and Rachel Ferguson. A celebration of Claire's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, at East Orrington Congregational Church with the Rev. Carl Schreiber, pastor, officiating. Interment will be immediately after the service at Marston Cemetery, Orrington. A reception will be held in the Carlson Hall after the services Monday.
