MCADAM, New Brunswick - Cindy E. Astorino passed away Nov. 10, 2012, at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Cindy was born in 1954, in Harvey, New Brunswick, a daughter of Gloria (Cogswell) O'Brien and the late Edward O'Brien.

Cindy loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved Christmas and shopping. Cindy thought a lot of her homemakers.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Gloria of Vanceboro; two daughters, Julie Cleghorn and Cory of Salisbury, New Brunswick, and Kelly McGillicudy and Mike of McAdam, New Brunswick; five grandchildren, Brandon, Keira, Conner, Jayden and Tyson; her boyfriend, Kevin Grass, "her Honey"; two brothers, Kenneth McIver and Freda of Lambert Lake and Jeffrey McIver of Bangor; one sister, Sue Brownell and Lloyd of Kenduskeag; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special auntie, Evelyn. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Scot O'Brien; and a sister, Barb Mersereau.

Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. EST Tuesday at Vanceboro United Methodist Church, High Street, Vanceboro, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 14, with the Rev. Sue Breisch and the Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. For those who wish to make a donation in honor of Cindy, the family has suggested the or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements by Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic, New Brunswick.
