CLINTON - Chester Marshall "Chuck" Ward Jr., 69, passed away May 6, 2013, surrounded by family and special friends of Central Maine Bassmasters Club at Veterans Affairs Medical Center - Togus. He was born June 8, 1943, in Biddeford, son of Chester M. Sr. and Renata M. (Woolf) Ward.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and retired March 1, 1984. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed many years as a member of Central Maine Bassmasters.
Chuck was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by a son, Mark D. Ward of Clinton; two sisters, Gilda Cronin of Baring and Sharon Harrison of Hermon; and one brother, Leander Ward and wife, Carolyn, of Archer City, Texas. Chuck is also survived by many friends, extended family and a special love. He will be greatly missed and long remembered.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at the public boat dock landing at Three Mile Pond, Boat Launch Road, off Route 3, Vassalboro, conducted by Chuck's fellow bass club members. Donations may be made in Chuck's memory to Central Maine Bassmasters, 531 Meadow Road, Durham, ME 04222. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville.
