OLD TOWN - Carolyn Mae Cust, 75, died March 26, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Old Town, a daughter of Robert Earl and Gilberta Marie (Pelletier) Cust.

Carolyn was a second mother to several generations and was affectionately known as "Ma," "Mammer," "Aunny," and "Carolyn". She was a generous, kind and caring woman who loved the outdoors, fishing, playing bingo and following hockey, especially the Bruins and Cannucks. Carolyn was active with Old Town and Orono Senior Citizens clubs, served as chaplain for American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and was constantly on the go.

She is survived by her four children, Carrie Gallant and husband, Timothy, of Old Town, Rhonda Carter and husband, Fred, of Virginia, Jessica Aldrich and husband, Jeremy, of Argyle, and Shawn LaBree of Old Town; four grandchildren, Kenneth Carter, Katilyn Carter and partner, Michael Comeau, Myranda LaBree, and Ian Aldrich; brother, Harlan "Bob" Cust of Old Town; aunt, Ruth Woodsum of Veazie; niece, Michelle Kauppila and husband, Jim, and their children; nephews, Scott Cust and children, and Robert Cust and children; and special friends Maryann Goodin and family, Madeline Smith and family, Brenda, Ernestine, and Unkie. She was predeceased by a sister, Linda LaBree.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will be later in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery, Old Town. Immediately after the service all are invited to the parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
