BANGOR AND ORONO - Carmen (Jenkins) King Blanchette, 84, has now gone to be with her Lord passing in her sleep, Feb. 3, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Carmen was a member of the United Methodist Church, Winterport. She enjoyed country music, dancing, bowling, crocheting, going to garage sales, swimming, playing pool and cards and, of course, Yatzee. She loved the quality time that she spent with her family and friends. She was a gentle loving and caring woman and will be missed by all who knew her. What we keep in memory is ours, unchanged forever.

She is survived by her twin sister, Carlene Winchester Stover; her children, Hazen King and his wife, Anita, Karen Hadley and her life partner, Rufus Mabe, Mina Sawyer and her husband, Jeffrey, Wayne King and his wife, Kathy, Carlene Avery and her husband, Lloyd, Gerald King and his wife, Sheryl; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Blanchette, her ex husband, Everett King and a grandson, Joshua. Carmen's family gratefully thanks the staff a both CHCS Hospice and Westgate Manor for taking such good care of Carmen for so many years.

A graveside committal service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor, will be announced in the spring. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
